The Blackhawk has carpeted interior & chrome center hubcaps, interior light, and has a front door for easy access during travel.
Fiberglass Trailers: Finish and Paint
Our fiberglass trailers are constructed of hand laid fiberglass. This type of material is made by combining resin with woven glass mat that is then placed by hand and sculpted into the desired shape. The thickness of the weave is meticulously controlled and the glass to resin ratio is high. The end results are hard wearing products that are built to last.
After molding, we seal our trailers with a acrylic paint. This is an assembly line process, and slight imperfections may be found in the finish. Most customers find that the acrylic paint is attractive and durable enough to protect the trailer from the elements, and use it directly out of the box. Others, however, hire a skilled painter to make it look even better.
Leave It to the Professionals
We believe that using a local shop for painting and color matching is in the best interest of our customers because sometimes mistakes happen. Imagine that your brand new trailer arrives two days before a major trip, and the color is wrong. How can you resolve this problem before your trip? Using a local painter will allow you to confirm the color as well as inspect in-person the work and quality of the paint job before you accept it. Additionally, in the event that a touch-up is ever needed, driving across town to the local painter will be far less expensive than shipping the trailer across country.
